Welcome Back SoCoLab, Fall 2025!

We’re excited to be back together for a brand-new semester. Our first meeting set the tone with a mix of reflection, celebration, and planning ahead. From sharing summer adventures to setting goals for the months to come—and even sampling the snacks people brought back from their travels—it was the perfect way to start the year.

Summer took everyone in different directions. Some reunited with family, others traveled, and a few celebrated big life moments—like Jina’s wedding 🎉. Meanwhile, our RAs kept busy with internships and research projects, returning with new skills and fresh perspectives to share.

And as seasons change, so does our team. We’re wishing Jacob the best as he heads off to begin his PhD at UC San Diego, and we’re excited to welcome Evans as our new lab manager.

With new stories, new leadership, and plenty of momentum, the Social Connection Lab is ready to dive into a busy and inspiring fall semester.
